TIME/LOOP ANIMATION
We were asked to create a 1-6 second loop displaying the concept of a transition between two states. While I had a number of ideas, the one I decided to explore was a loop going between day and night. While it’s a popular concept to show times passing, I wanted to create an interesting animation that would make it stand out. Another concept I had along with this is the idea that something during the day, or a certain situation, time, etc, can be so different for someone else or with a different perspective. A fun beach in the day can be rocky seas with a lighthouse at night.

MOVING/WORDS ANIMATION
We were asked to create a 20-30 moving type video based off an audio track whether it be a song, podcast, monologue, etc. For my piece, I chose Neverland from the musical Finding Neverland, though this version is sung by Zendaya. The song is very whimsical, calm, and flows without any harsh words or sounds so I wanted to create a style to mimic that simplicity. While I explored a number of typefaces, I ended up using BrownLL Condensed and stuck to a blue color scheme. With my first draft, I didn’t push myself enough to explore transitions and type but following those style frames and videos, I am happy with my final product.
